Health Sciences Excellence in Mentoring Celebration

Dear Health Sciences Faculty,

The Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA) invites you to celebrate mentoring achievements at the Health Sciences Faculty Excellence in Mentoring Celebration on November 6, 2019 at the Ida and Cecil Green Faculty Club, Atkinson Pavilion (maplink) from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

This celebration is part of the Health Sciences Faculty Mentor Training Program (FMTP). During the celebration, OFA will honor the Excellence in Mentoring Award recipients for their outstanding contributions to the mentorship of future leaders in academic medicine.  Last year’s recipients were Dr. Pamela Mellon, Distinguished Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences and Dr. Victor Nizet, Professor & Vice Chair for Basic Research, Department of Pediatrics; Professor, Skaggs School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences. 

This year’s recipients will be announced in early October.

In addition, we will welcome keynote speaker Angela Byars-Winston, Ph.D. (University of Wisconsin), who will present on the topic of Culturally Aware Mentoring.
