Biostatistics PhD Training Opportunities at UC San Diego

The Department of Family Medicine and Public Health (FMPH) at UC San Diego (UCSD) offers a doctoral degree in Biostatistics. Beginning in Fall 2016, this new UCSD graduate program is an interdepartmental program housed within the Department of FMPH, in the School of Medicine.

About the Program

​The PhD in Biostatistics program incorporates core faculty from FMPH’s Division of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics, the Statistics group within the Department of Mathematics, and faculty from computer sciences within the Jacobs School of Engineering. A terminal en route Master’s degree will be offered to qualifying students who fail to complete the PhD.
