What is OPTIMUS?

​The Outreach Program To Inspire Minority and Underrepresented Students (OPTIMUS) is an educational cancer research internship at UC San Diego’s Moores Cancer Center. Our mission is to increase diversity in the clinical and biomedical research workforce.

Program Curriculum

Program Dates: July 5th – August 13th.
This year OPTIMUS is virtual due to the pandemic.
OPTIMUS will meet virtually a few afternoons a week. Specific days to be determined
Students will be awarded a stipend for participation.
